Our HISTORY

Little River Materials was founded in 2018 as a family business. Built on hard work, respect, and a deep passion for the aggregate industry. We loaded our first railcar in 2019, launched our own production facilities in 2020, and loaded our first river barge in 2021.

Our owners, Lem Carnes and Baylis Carnes, bring over 50 years of combined experience in the aggregate industry. Their knowledge and dedication, along with a genuine respect for everyone in the business, has shaped Little River Materials into what it is today. We know that relationships drive success, which is why we take pride in building strong partnerships with our customers, vendors, and employees.
